The Last Nightrunner Book

Standard

All good things must come to an end. And so it is that this week I start work on the seventh and last Nightrunner book, currently untitled. As much as I look forward to trying fresh directions, I will really miss these characters, all of them. I’ve known most of them longer than I have my kids.

I am working on Glimpses II, though, and maybe more short stories. We’ll see.

That is all

  1. Aw, I’ll be sad to see it end, but I’m grateful to you for letting us get to know your wonderful characters. I started reading your books in college, I think, and reading about Seregil, Alec, Micum, Beka, and Thero is like seeing old, beloved friends again.

  2. I’m sorry to see it end. I’ve read each of the books multiple times. Thank you so much for sharing such wonderful stories with us.

  3. My first thought was “Oh no! I want it to be forever!” But then I realized it will be. Nightrunner is too real and the scope is too big for it to be diminished just because there won’t be any more written records. The best worlds and characters are eternal.

I’d still read new ones forever, of course.

  4. I am going to be sad to see this series end D: Love Alec and Seregil.
I hope you end the series with a big bang, and make us all cry.
I know I am going to cry.

  5. Thats really sad news to me ;(
I hope there will at least be a Glimpses book here and there after the seventh book.
And PLEASE let there be a happy ending.

  6. I’m really excited to see what comes next! You have such skill for the world-building that something new is flutter-inducing for me. 🙂
I love the boys (and girls) of Nightrunner, but I feel like the arc is reaching its end. The characters have grown in satisfactory ways, and now the political things can wrap up. This is a good choice.
    Happy writing!

  7. Thank you so much for creating this world and these characters. Once you fall for Alec and Seregil they really do become friends. I’m so excited that I have two more books to look forward to. And of course I’ll reread them in future years. It’s sad and exciting at the same time.

  8. I’m so sad to hear that the series is coming to an end but I guess that just means the next few books will be even that much more precious to me! Thank you, Lynn. These books are truly fantastic. And I can’t wait to read whatever comes next!

  9. I am still quite new to all of these characters since I found your books only last year, but it still saddens me to hear that they are coming to an end. At the same time, I’m very excited to hear about new directions.
It is very hard to find good “homo” (pardon my language but I can’t remember the correct term) book when you live in an non-English country. But I found these and fell in love with a bang. I even managed to get my friend to love them.
I am going to miss these characters and the world. You have done an amazing job so far and I’m sure your new directions will be as wonderful as Nightrunners.
Me and my friend is going to cry our eyes out when the last page is turned.
